What came before the globe got hot? Glaciers. What will be here after we leave? Rocks that glaciers helped form. We took what ended up being a private boat ride to Fjallsárlón glacier on the southern part of Iceland. City of Seydisfjordur Church, Rainbow Road and surrounding area
Seydisfjordur is a half hour drive over a twisting mountain landscape where you move from 25 km/h to 90 and back down again every 150 feet. Studlagil Basalt Column Canyon – Northeastern Iceland
This is what 5 miles of hiking gets you (other than in my case a sore back)

Akureyri, Iceland Pt.1
Through a half days drive and some questionable roadway infrastructure, we made it in to this beautiful city.
Snæfellsjökull National Park, Iceland
Driving the small ring road is like experiencing all of what Iceland has in just a three hour drive. If you have only days in Iceland and want a glimpse of the full experience, I recommend taking a long days trip up north from Reykjavík.
